In 1929 a carpenter battles a deadly syndicate and trains with a Comanche warrior on a supernatural plain.
We all have battles to fight. We have to fight them. West Of Man fights them all.
West Of Man is the story of our lives. A brutal telling of how we are cast into chaos, and in the fight of life, suffer a death, move onto a plain of regeneration, forge a return, and destroy the world that killed us.
Amid a story of triumph and despair of what it feels like to be an American, West Of Man chronicles the individual's ongoing battle against the machine of civilization and frames the Great American Plain as the land of new beginnings.
In February 2026, I spent ten days in a 160 square foot hut near Cochise Stronghold in the Dragoon Mountains, tucked in the Southeast corner of Arizona. Hallowed battle grounds, where Apache general Cochise and his warriors held off the Union Army for over a decade. With their spirit of rebellion, I produced 15,000 words during my encampment. My mission statement for the project was to be bold and ferocious, uncompromising in honesty, and level a complete and thorough destruction of the old guard. All told, the book took four years and over three thousand hours from concept to completion.
West Of Man is a battle for man’s reconstruction in a world of total control, a cathartic mutiny of revenge, and aims to tare across the land as a bolt of righteous burning. 12X16 Post & Beam Building Plans are included with the book.
